American Heart Association (AHA): Find an Emergency Cardiovascular Care Class
You can learn how to save a life. The AHA offers courses in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, or Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use. Courses are offered throughout the United States, but by selecting the “CPR & ECC” link on this Web site, you will be able to enter your zip code or state to find a class near you.

Easter Seals
Hypoxia can lead to brain damage, and Easter Seals provides services for those with brain damage or other disabilities. Aside from detailing their services, the Web site offers an e-mail newsletter, facts about disabilities, and ways that you can participate in getting the United States Congress to support disabilities-related initiatives.

Brain Injury Association
This site offers downloadable software that will read the Web site aloud to users. There are publications on brain injury, a section on government relations, as well as separate sections for professionals, children and parents, and survivors. The survivor’s page includes poetry, personal stories, and personal Web sites, all submitted by individuals with brain injury.
